THREE EYES: FIVE YOUNG CHINESE DESIGNERS
We would like to draw your attention to the opening of the exhibition ‘Three Eyes: Five Young Chinese Designers’ on Saturday 1 October 2016, at the Boijmans Museum (Rotterdam)
Last year the Han Nefkens Foundation commissioned five young Chinese designers to make new works for the exhibition ‘Three Eyes: Five Young Chinese Designers’ at the OCT Art & Design Gallery in Shenzhen as
a supplement to the travelling exhibition ‘The Future of Fashion is Now’.
The five designers share the belief that tradition and the future must go hand in hand. According to Chinese culture, a designer needs three eyes: two to look to the future and one to look back on five thousand years of Chinese culture.
