‘Three Eyes’ at Boijmans

In the past year, five young Chinese designers were commissioned by the Han Nefkens Foundation to create new work for the latest instalment of the travelling exhibition ‘The Future of Fashion is Now’, most recently shown at OCT Art & Design Gallery in Shenzhen.

The five works are connected by an overarching awareness that ancient traditions and the future should go hand in hand. According to Chinese culture, a designer needs three eyes: two for the future, and one to look back into the past.

Starting on October 1, 2016, the five commissioned works will be shown at Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. A preview of the works can be found here.
